Rebecca grew up in the small town of Langdon, just outside Calgary.  Her family is very close, her grandpa moved next door to her when she was a child and Rebecca lives a block down the road from her childhood home.  Becky went to school with a boy named Bryan.  The two had eyes for one another in middle school and dated for a few months before going their separate ways. 

As much as they denied it, they always wound up back together, staying up walking and talking.  A big group of friends went camping one night.  Rebecca was allowed to go but was given a rule that she not stay in a tent with a boy.  In order to abide by her mothers rule, she stayed at the campfire all night talking with her friend Bryan.  The two have seen each other through school, college and all the ups and downs that go with growing up.  Eventually they stopped ignoring the voices in their hearts and became one of the most admirable couples I have come across.

Rebecca and I had met at a styled shoot thanks to Taffeta and Tulle Bridal.  She and I hit it off and she asked me to photograph her wedding.  I was so excited to meet Bryan.  We had a lot of time to get to know each other.  We spoke often though out the planning process and enjoyed the engagement session at Coutts.  After spending some time with Bryan, I knew I had to ask Mark of Happy Heart Photography to second shoot the wedding, and I was right.  The guys hit it off too!

At 8am on July 6th, I was half way to Langdon and my wipers were on full speed.  It rained off and on all morning while TM artistry did hair and make up for Rebecca, her sister and maid of honour Sarah, and their mom Tracey.  Sarah wore a beautiful gown from Durand Bridal.

By the time we made our way up to Cochrane RancheHouse, the skies were clear.  The flowers by White's Flowers did a beautiful job on the bouquet and arch decor.  Dorothy of This Day Forward performed a personalized ceremony.  The lovely bride, in Lis Simon by Taffeta and Tulle, held in tears of joy until the very end, when she burst into tears on the isle after being pronounced man and wife!

I had a blast with the bridal party as we hiked all over the Ranche.  We took as much time as we could until Mother nature told us we had enough!  After a plate full of food, we were able to sneak outside once more for some final bridal portraits.  

The emcee of the night was Becky's amazing grandpa, Dale.  These wonderful people treated me like family.  They even sat me at the family table at dinner!  I was thanked and complemented several times and it made me tear up!  The delicious cake from Avenue Bakery was cut and smashed in the grooms face while Luke of Luxmusic kept the guests entertained.

To the lovely bride and groom, it was such an honour to document your day.  You are both amazing people and I know you will take care of one another forever!
