I received an email one late night in September. It was so obvious this bride was beyond excited for her upcoming wedding. I met her for a pumpkin spice latte later that week and we just clicked! We were talking about kids, blended families, church, love and weddings before we even touched on the photography topic! She is so kind and easy to get along with and I was so honored when she asked me to be her photographer. We immediately started planning for the engagement session. I suggested Big Hill Springs and Shaan lit up--it was the same location where Justin proposed!
Shaan and Justin are members at the same church and had seen one another there for years before forming a friendship. The friendship quickly grew into a beautiful relationship and they knew they needed to officially become a family. Shaan's face brightens when she talks about Justin's two girls, one in kindergarten and the other in second grade.
Shaan is planning her dream wedding for November. She wanted an intimate, simple wedding where their friends and family can relax and celebrate. They fell in love with the Shawnessy Barn and chose the date of November 12th. There will be a hot chocolate bar which is where we got the idea of doing a 'hot coco' themed engagement shoot. Shaan looked for a lot of quotes which would fit her and Justin's relationship and found the perfect one to paint on her mugs.
I feel very blessed to have had the pleasure of capturing the love between Shaan and Justin and I look forward to their wedding this Fall!
