Stephanie called me in June 2016 to book her wedding in Lethbridge.  She lives in Fort Mac and was unable to meet me face to face.  We spoke on the phone a few times and I was excited to capture the moments of her wedding.

In August, Stephanie called me with a conundrum.  After booking everything for their wedding she discovered she was pregnant!  They moved the date to September 2017.  The next month I spoke with Steph again, another surprise, twins!

This busy mom of three managed to pull off an incredible wedding even being so far away from the event.  Her stunning Alfred Angelo gown was purchased from Timeless Bridal.  The flowers were by Booms Flowers and Gifts.  

The wedding was set in a beautiful Catholic Cathedral in Lethbridge.  The priest did a fantastic job of uniting this family.  We took family photos across from the church in a beautiful park.

The wedding reception was held at Paradise Canyon.  The staff there were all excellent and pointed us in the right direction for photos.  The haze we had was unbelievable, this was in the middle of the surrounding forest fires.  The plus 35 temperature was ideal for bugs but we all had sunscreen and bug spray, the wedding party was awesome.

After filling up on a fantastic buffet, guests enjoyed live music by Alyssa McQuaid and Coyote Junction.  Everyone was on the dance floor, midnight snacks were served and the shoe game was played.  Everyone had huge smiles on their faces, it was a blast.

I was pretty tired by the end of the night.  Stephanie and Nick were kind enough to get me a beautiful hotel so I wouldn't have to make the two hour drive back to Calgary.

Capturing this wedding was so much more than snapping photos.  The way the family all came together to support this beautiful couple was amazing.  I attempted to hide the tears I had listening to the best mans speech (an attempt that failed but everyone else was crying too so it was ok!)  I laughed uncontrollably when the groom was reading his speech on his phone when telemarketers kept calling!  I was fortunate to spend so much time with the brides mother and grandmother which also made the day special for me.

I loved capturing the memories for this bride and groom.  Steph and Nick I wish you all the very best life has to offer!
