Cody married Jennifer on a beautiful August afternoon at the Blue Devil Golf course in Southeast Calgary.  Jennifer was calm and relaxed while sipping mimosas and having her hair and make-up done at home.  Her bridesmaids had decorated her house with hints of bridal décor and lots and lots of snacks!  The flowers were kept in water on the counter.  They were simple and elegant, Sweet Lea Designs did a fantastic job.  Christina Kemp did both the bridal hair and make-up.  Jennifer chose a classic look which ensured her natural beauty would shine.  She left her hair partly down, it was curled to perfection and held the elegant look throughout the day (despite the winds).

Jennifer’s gown surprised me.  When I saw it, it honestly took my breath away.  Jennifer chose a ball gown with delicate jewels on the bodice.   As soon as she put it on I remember thinking to myself that this dress was made for her.  Jennifer picked her gown from Blissful Bridal here in Calgary and it was stunning.

Cody’s brother lives a few doors down from Jennifer and Cody, that’s where I met the guys just before they were dressed.  Cody was so excited to see his bride.  He and his groomsmen finished up their beers and got in the limo to go to the wedding.

It was a very sunny afternoon when the bride came down the aisle to meet her soulmate.  The ceremony was preformed beautifully and we were able to do some family photos right after.  The bridal party were all so much fun.  The boys were all in full suits and didn’t complain at all despite the heat!  I was very thankful my assistant Glenda was there to grab water for us!

We only had one location for the bridal party photos but everyone was so happy it didn’t take long to capture all the laughs and smiles. 

I didn’t have to remind Cody to smile, he looked at his gorgeous bride and had such a look of joy and pride that I couldn’t asked for a brighter look.  Jennifer was effortlessly beautiful and capturing all the formals felt so natural I hardly spoke to them at all.

I loved getting to know these two and capturing the moments of their day.
